Equipmake APM-200 (180hp)
The APM200 has been designed specifically to meet the requirements of a high-performance traction motor. Its unique spoke architecture enables the rotor to be liquid cooled increasing the motors continuous power output capability. The motor has a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm and incorporates an integral 5.5 :1 epicyclic gearbox which means that the output shaft of the gearbox can be connected directly to the wheel hub. The motor has a peak power of 220kW, and a peak torque of 450Nm.

Equipmake has developed a bespoke inverter to drive the APM200 motor. The inverter incorporates the latest IGBT Power Electronic technology. It is also available with a silicon carbide diode option combined with IGBT’s to improve the power capability and enable the inverter to run at high switching frequencies. The inverter has been designed to run at a DC voltage of 750V, with a peak current rating of 450A rms.

Equipmake AMPERE-220 (160hp)
The key to AMPERE-220’s performance is a combination of an advanced motor design with additive manufacturing, allowing its metal structure to be 3D printed, rather than milled from a solid billet.
This brings many advantages, in light weighting, cooling ability and cost effectiveness.
Equipmake are targeting peak power of 220kW at 30,000rpm and a weight of less than 20kg.

Equipmake APM-120 (150hp)
The APM 120R is an interior permanent magnet motor, utilising Samarium Cobalt magnets. It achieves the high-power density through a combination of direct oil cooling of the stator and forced rotor cooling.
The motor has a maximum speed of 12,000 rpm. The achievement of this speed with this design of motor is the result of a novel rotor construction, which has been patented by AIM. The motor has the option of an integral epicyclic gearbox, enabling straightforward installation in a vehicle application.
Equipmake has developed an inverter matched to the motor for optimum performance.
